The article discusses the possibilities of using scientometric analysis tools and searching for scientific publications. The arsenal of these tools has been significantly expanded, and a sample of scientific publications on criminological forecasting from 2013 to 2024 has been formed. The publications were evaluated based on their type, number of authors, publication source, and methods used. The most common scientific journals for publishing articles on criminological forecasting are highlighted. An analysis of keywords and citations from the Russian Science Citation Index was also conducted. The results obtained show a significant proportion of scientific publications based on original data, such as statistical information, surveys, and the authors' methodological approaches. A large number of authors from non-legal fields of science are represented, which demonstrates the interdisciplinary nature of criminological forecasting. However, compared to other topics in criminological research, the quantitative indicators for criminological forecasting are relatively low. This indicates that, despite the high level of development of this topic, there are still areas that require further study.
