The ability to determine a career orientation based on value systems and interests is the factor that helps students effectively build their careers in the future. The main task of increasing the competitiveness of university graduates in the labor market is to eliminate contradictions between the competencies obtained during the training process and the value systems of the student. The article defines the main triad of career development for students, including networking, reputation and visibility. The tools of career development for students are specified in order to create an active networking zone and form a positive reputation in the learning process. The role of Internet resources in the career development of students and the risks of their use are determined. The features of the career development of students in the learning process are identified and recommendations are developed to increase the competitiveness of university graduates in the labor market.
