PRIMARY SCHOOL HOMEWORK IN HIGH-ACHIEVING COUNTRIES

Abstract (English):
The article highlights trends in the organization of homework for primary school students abroad. Particular attention is paid to the study of homework in countries that, according to the international study of the quality of education PISA-2022, showed high educational results. For this purpose, the impact of homework on the achievements of primary school students, the general education system as a whole, the duration of study in primary school is analyzed, and examples of students’ daily routines are given. The article presents the organization of homework in the studied countries, types of homework and classes within the framework of additional education. The specifics of the educational system of those countries in which homework in primary school has been abolished are also considered.
