Today, stress has become a part of employees’ everyday lives in virtually any organization. It affects well-being, productivity, and even staff retention. As a result, more and more companies are striving to identify and reduce employee stress levels in order to foster a healthy and sustainable work environment. To achieve this, it is crucial to use reliable stress assessment methods. This article presents an overview of 31 different questionnaires and tests that help assess how employees experience stress, their resilience to workload, the sources of tension, and how they cope with challenges. All methods are categorized according to their primary goals: some evaluate current emotional states, others measure burnout or self-regulation ability, and still others focus on corporate culture and working conditions. The article also offers recommendations on which methods are most appropriate for various situations, such as recruitment, teamwork, risk assessment, or designing psychological support programs. This makes the article valuable for HR professionals, psychologists, managers, and anyone interested in improving employee well-being and reducing workplace stress.
