Abstract (English):
The article considers the possibility of using assessment as a method of personnel selection in a Russian airport operator company. To achieve this goal, survey methods were used: a survey of satisfaction with conducting an assessment in the company, an unstructured interview. The survey sample consisted of 85 people selected to participate in a special project of the organization using this technology. The unstructured interview was aimed at identifying the opinions of the company’s employees involved in the implementation of a comprehensive involved in the implementation of a comprehensive assessment about this tool. The results of the study allowed us to identify the positive aspects of the assessment as a selection method (objectivity, openness, flexibility, confidentiality, reasonableness of personnel decisions, versatility, etc.), as well as to identify the weaknesses of the technology implementation (difficulties in establishing a comfortable atmosphere, problems in the process of providing feedback, excessive duration of the organizational stage, limited resources, excess related materials, etc.). At the same time, recommendations were developed to improve work with this technology: to introduce innovations that help reduce stress in the evaluated, to work on improving the provision of feedback, to introduce the use of electronic technologies in the process of recording test results, to organize the digitalization of related paper materials, to use the author’s checklist of the assessment organization, etc. The data obtained can be used by HR managers, heads of organizations to apply assessment as a method of personnel selection.
